Introduction and overview

The objectives of this module are:

  1. To show how good systems engineers can reduce the stress of being a good systems engineer by becoming an outstanding systems engineer in as little as 10 weeks.
  2. To introduce the context for systems engineering which provides an insight as to the reasons for the many definitions of, and viewpoints on systems engineering
  3. To provide an example of viewing a situation from the HTPs.
  4. To alert participants to the state of the discipline
  5. To provide the participants with the background for the activities performed by systems engineers in various stages of system development
  6. To provide a context for the different lifecycle models
  7. To introduce useful tools and frameworks for systems engineering
